This premium line is made in Sakai. The blade is forged from aogami #1 (blue #1) steel with iron suminagashi damascus. Blue #1 is known for excellent edge retention and toughness. The unique octagonal handle gets slightly thinner as it approaches the blade, making it easy to grip. These knives have impressive geometry and are very thin at the edge.
