Fukube knives

Fukube Kaji is a family-owned company, founded by Yusaku Hoshiba in 1908. It originally started by making and maintaining tools in the Noto region for local farmers and fishermen. In the 1950s, the company specialized in producing Japanese knives.

Knowledge has been passed down through four generations, preserving many traditional techniques. They produce classic models such as Yanagiba and Deba knives made from Shirogami steel, as well as versatile knives like Gyutos and Santokus. They are also known for their stainless steel oyster knives.

Fukube remains true to traditional craftsmanship, meaning that many products are hand-forged and finished, combining functional design with historical aesthetics. We are proud to feature this maker i our  store.
