The Naniwa Gouken Arata stones are designed for both professional users and advanced hobbyists. æ–° (Arata) means "new" or "renewed". This series combines the performance of Naniwa's famous Chosera stones with a renewed structure and a user-friendly design. The higher grit stones are splash and go and can therefore be used immediately, without having to soak the stone again (only once the first time you use it). We recommend soaking lower grits at least the first time you use them and then seeing how it works. A good tip: your stone is ready to use when you apply water and it stays on the stone. The stone comes with a transparent plastic anti-slip holder, which is equipped with anti-slip, so that your base is stable.

Actually now I realise, Ogawa san just informed me that his son will Join the team now as well. Anyway, Ogawa san shared his knowledge with us and adviced us in the world of naniwa stones. Of course we tested them and shared the same conclusion: high quality stones with, each excellent with their own high sharpening or polishing ability.
