The surface of the handle is a copy of the Kamakura-bori (鎌倉彫) style. A traditional processing technique used on wood, characterized by small recesses in the surface, made with a gouge. By applying the Kamakura-bori style to the steel handle, it gives a perfect hand feeling to the user. Moreover, the handle is lightweight by making it hollow on the inside, so that the knife never feels really heavy, even if you are cutting for a long time. The bridge between handle and blade is low and comfortable, extremely comfortable and ideal for the pinch grip.
