Ikyu whetstones are inspired by natural stones. For this reason, Ikyu uses Mikawa Nagura stone powder. This contributes to a natural stone-like feel, despite the stones being synthetic. Ikyu stones offer an excellent price-to-quality ratio and are suitable for both carbon steel and stainless steel.
